An interactive CD is a type of learning media that utilizes computer technology, represented in an audiovisual format with interactive and engaging elements. It can be packaged into a Compact Disc (CD) containing an interactive application.
Generally, an interactive CD is created by combining images, videos, animations, text, editing/processing. afterwards, navigation features to explore specific sections.
This learning method allows users to interact directly with the material, making the learning process more effective. Afterwards, some uses of interactive CDs include company profiles, project presentations, educational materials, and more.
To develop an interactive CD. Basically, several steps or methods need to be prepared, including:
- Defining the Theme
- Creating a Storyboard
- Preparing Assets (images, audio, video, and animations)
- Designing the Main Layout
- Creating Buttons
- Developing Content Pages
- Inserting Assets into the Content
- Adding Transitions
- Activating Buttons
- Publishing
- Creating Autorun for the CD
