To add content, you need to insert blocks. There are several “Add Block” buttons on the screen that you can click to choose and add a block.

If you don’t want to use a mouse, you can use a keyboard shortcut. Simply type / to search for and add a block.

All content elements are contained within a block. WordPress includes blocks for all common content elements such as paragraphs, columns, images, galleries, shortcodes, embeds, widgets, and many more.

Several WordPress plugins can also add their own blocks to introduce additional features like contact forms, SEO tools, etc.

You can add images by inserting an Image Block, then uploading or selecting an image you want to add.

Additionally, you can copy and paste a video URL into a paragraph block, and WordPress will automatically convert it into a Video Embed Block.

While you can use the Video Block to upload videos directly to your website, we do not recommend it as it can slow down your site and may cause issues with your WordPress hosting server.

Instead, we suggest uploading your video to platforms like YouTube or Vimeo and embedding it into your WordPress post.
